David Marlin, President
David
Marlin co-founded the company that eventually became
MetaComet® Systems in February 2000. He is the chief architect of the
Royalty Tracker® System. Marlin is an expert in both large scale system
implementations and royalty management. His commitment to enhancing the
technological capabilities of the publishing world are demonstrated by
his work as the founding co-chairman of the Book Industry Study Group's
Digital Sales Reporting Committee. During his tenure, Marlin led the
team that developed the standard means of reporting sales of electronic
and print on demand books. Marlin served as chair through the approval
of version 1.0 of the BASIC DSR Reporting Standard.
Marlin holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. His
technical experience includes leading large-scale technology projects
for American Express and serving as a software engineer for IDX Systems
in Boston.
Jami Albro-Fisher, Director of Engineering
Jami
Albro-Fisher is a veteran software
engineer and project manager and has been delivering solutions to
Fortune 500 companies for 15 years. Specializing in software
engineering best practices and agile methods, he has developed software
for factory floor automation, government reporting, finance and
operations benchmarking in healthcare, and transcript imaging for a
major university. Albro-Fisher was a member of an international
software design team that developed software under six sigma and ISO
9001 regulation for large photofinishing providers worldwide including
Eastman Kodak, Walmart, and Fujicolor Processing. He is an experienced
facilitator with the ability to advance technology projects among
professionals with diverse areas of expertise.
He serves on the
steering committee for the
Technology Enterprise
Council of the
RTC, a regional economic development driver and leads
a user group for area software engineering professionals. Albro-Fisher
holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts
Amherst.
Sean Provost,
Director of Business Development
Sean Provost comes to MetaComet® Systems with over 12 years
of sales, management and business development experience. Sean's
background includes over 6 years as a solutions consultant in the
telecommunications industry with a focus on complex voice and Wide Area
Network design and leading new acquisitions team. In addition to
Sean's extensive sales background, Sean was also the founder of TAM
Sports Enterprises, LLC a family recreation center in Agawam, MA and
held a successful position as business development manager of PC Card
Packaging, LLC, where he managed the transition from OEM only
distributions to an international retail distributor.
At MetaComet® Systems, Sean is cultivating
relationships to bring our royalty management solutions to the
publishing industry and other licensees of intellectual property.
Jen Turner,
Director of Finance and Operations
Jen joined MetaComet® Systems in 2007, bringing with
her over 8 years of experience in a wide range of settings, from retail
to non-proft and healthcare. Her education includes a BA and MBA from
the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
