Meet The MetaComet Management Team

David Marlin, President
David Marlin co-founded the company that eventually became MetaComet® Systems in February 2000. He is the chief architect of the Royalty Tracker® System. Marlin is an expert in both large scale system implementations and royalty management. His commitment to enhancing the technological capabilities of the publishing world are demonstrated by his work as the founding co-chairman of the Book Industry Study Group’s Digital Sales Reporting Committee. During his tenure, Marlin led the team that developed the standard means of reporting sales of electronic and print on demand books. Marlin served as chair through the approval of version 1.0 of the BASIC DSR Reporting Standard.

Marlin holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.A. from Columbia University. His technical experience includes leading large-scale technology projects for American Express and serving as a software engineer for IDX Systems in Boston.

Adam Marlin, Chief Operating Officer
Adam Marlin joined MetaComet® Systems as COO in March 2009. Adam had been an analyst at the investment firm CBM Capital, Inc., where he specialized in identifying and analyzing the world’s best run companies. Before joining CBM, Adam worked as a research analyst and co-portfolio manager for Wachovia Securities. Prior to that, he had been a journalist for five years in Washington, DC, covering Capitol Hill, most recently for Congressional Quarterly. At CQ, he covered financial services and privacy issues, investigating the links between lobbying and policy-making in Congress. Mr. Marlin received an M.B.A from Columbia University Business School in 2005, a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism School in 1997, and a B.A. from Brown University in 1994.

Jen Turner, Director of Finance and Operations
Jen joined MetaComet® Systems in 2007, bringing with her over 8 years of experience in a wide range of settings, from retail to non-proft and healthcare. Her education includes a BA and MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
