Meet The MetaComet Management Team
David Marlin, President
David co-founded the company that eventually became MetaComet® Systems in February 2000. Beyond his expertise at helping businesses solve their rights and royalties challenges, David is committed to enhancing the technological capabilities of the publishing world through his work as the founding co-chairman of the Book Industry Study Group’s (BISG) Digital Sales Reporting Committee.
David currently serves on the BISG Governing Council and is the co-chair of the BISG Rights Committee, which many in the industry believe will provide the foundation for publishing’s future growth. He is a regular speaker and contributor to industry events and symposia.
Prior to founding MetaComet Systems, David spent 3 years as a technology consultant for publishers. Before that he spent several years managing large scale projects for American Express in New York. David earned both his MBA and BA from Columbia University in New York.
Khalid Elkalai, Vice President, Operations
Since joining MetaComet Systems in early 2008, Khalid has focused on ensuring a quality experience for our customers. Khalid is a certified project manager and fluent in PMBOK® standards. He has upgraded our quality control and customer support operations and now manages all aspects of MetaComet’s Operations.
Prior to joining MetaComet, Khalid spent 11 years at Elcom International providing oversight for Elcom’s customers, and establishing customer service and problem-solving methodologies.
